Trying to pack on muscle but need cardio at the same time?

Im trying to put on 20 pounds of pure muscle for the upcoming football season. Im on a high protein and carb diet and taking whey and casein protein shakes. I weight lift every day. Im starting to get a gut due to no cardio. If I start cardio 3-5 times a week, will this affect me putting on muscle?
