Swimming in boyshorts?

I bought these boyshorts, but they fit me differently than i thought they would. they're slightly cheeky. is it okay if i wear them anyways? i mean i'm not fat or anything. i'm actually pretty athletic and i've seen other girls wear bikini bottoms which is somewhat revealing the cheeks.
